A great vibe in the hotel. The staff was topnotch. A truly unique setting for a hotel. Lobby was the best I have ever experienced.
The room was too hot and the temperature was locked into 65 degrees. Too warm for me and my wife at night. It made sleep difficult.

The service, room and location are all very good. In addition the views from our corner room, and the grand foyer were both very impressive.
The air conditioning location in the bathroom tended to make that room cooler than desired, while making it tricky to balance getting the main room cool enough.

The concierge was brilliant - very informative. Dakota on reception was excellent and as we were on honeymoon gave us a complementary upgrade. The bar staff were attentive and excellent at their jobs. The rooms were clean and modern - and the foyer is something else!! Met our expectations and more.

The hotel showed off its history as a jail in an elegant but fascinating way. Gorgeous views of the courtyard from our room.
A bit too expensive for an everyday trip but this was a special occasion and well worth the $$$

I liked the situation near the Beacon Hill area and also the proximity of the subway.
This hotel is the rendez vous of young people. It is the place in at this moment.....very noisy and full of people living in Boston who take all the place in the bar, restaurant and in the lobby!

As an engineer I was impressed with the design and implementation of the former jail.
Breakfast served in room was average at best. No coffee cream and crushed rolls in a bowl.

I had only one minor complaint and it is that the hair dryer supplied by the hotel is not very good.
